Isaac is getting so good at communicating his wants and needs, and Scott and I are getting better at understanding what he is asking for. Every night after bath and stories, we go through the bedtime checklist: bubby (little yellow blanket), fire (pacifier), bangket eggs (blue blanket on his legs), foot (his favorite book at the moment: The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss), song (his lullaby CD) and fan (the fan we run to create some white noise). This is the routine we use to get him all tucked in, say good night and one would think he would be all ready to drift off to sleep. However, usually by the time we head downstairs and plug in his monitor he is standing up or playing in his crib. 45 minutes later he looks like the little guy in the picture.
