Big Helper (sometimes)

Isaac likes to help with Saraya. Today he helped me give her a bath. He does a good job of pouring the water over her tummy. Sometimes it gets in her ears and eyes, but most of the time he can hit just the stomach. He also likes to help with her pacifier and we are working on getting him to understand that only Mom and Dad can put it in her mouth. He also helps me by getting things I ask for - diapers, wipes, burp cloths - and I appreciate him doing those things.

Of course, Isaac is also a very active two-year old and sometimes he is not helpful. In her short life, Saraya has been stepped on, hit with objects, poked, been spit on, and endured some rough swinging in her swing. I'm hoping these events are just helping to make her tougher. Isaac might be suprised one day when she fights back.

Isaac does love his sister though and he has some really sweet moments. Like the other day when he was patting her head and telling her "Everything is going to be okay Sweatheart." He also asks about her if he doesn't know where she is. He will say "Where's Sissy?" He even says "I love you" to her. However, he also said that to a man in Costco yesterday, so who knows what he thinks it means!

Scott asked Isaac if Santa brought him Sissy, and Isaac said,"No, we got her at the doctor!" Very smart little guy.
