Weekend Trip

This weekend we stayed at a borrowed cabin near Hoodsport with our good friends the Simlers'. The kids had a great time together and the we adults enjoyed ourselves as well.
On Saturday we headed out for a hike right outside the Olympic National Park. This was Saraya's first time in the backpack. She did great!

This was also Isaac's first hike where he was not in the backpack. It ended up being about a mile out and it was all up hill. Isaac did great - didn't complain about being tired even though his little legs were working so hard.

The view at the top was amazing. We could see Mt. Rainier, as well as several bodies of water.



The kids loved the fact that there was snow. They had fun slipping and sliding around in it. Here is the hiking group.

Karis and Isaac back at the cabin. They did really well together all weekend.

We were staying near Lake Cushman where we went swimming on Sat. afternoon. No pictures of the swimming - oops! Saraya took her first ride in a swing.

Isaac climbed on the Big Toy.

And at night, of course there were s'mores.

It was a great weekend and we were glad to have our good friends join us!
