This weekend we took a trip to Long Beach, home of the world's longest beach and the International Kite festival. We weren't necessarily there for the kite festival, although it was an interesting event and fun to see. We went with a few other families for a total of 10 kids ages 21 months (Saraya) to 7 years (our friend Aidan). We had perfect weather which resulted in a lot of beach time. The kids loved flying kites, digging holes and running in the waves.

The first day we were there it was chilly, but the kids didn't notice and jumped right into the water with their clothes on. After that we were prepared with swimsuits each time we went to the beach.

Now she is ready for action! Saraya was very brave working to keep up with the other kids who went way out in the water and got very wet!
