Beach Vacation

Last weekend we had a fun beach vacation at Rockaway Beach, OR. We stayed in a beach house with Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Carl and Aunt Michelle, and Michelle's parents, Kathy and Dennis. The house was amazing! I didn't get too many good pictures to show how beautiful it was. Most of our time was spent in the kitchen eating or making food, or up in the view room just enjoying the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean.
The back of the house. It was three stories tall, four bedrooms, three baths. The basement had a full bath, pool table, foosball table, a Wii, and a small kitchen. The main floor was where the kitchen and living room were and three of the bedrooms and one of the baths. The top floor had a beautiful master bedroom suite with a sitting room called "the view room."
Trying to make a fire in the wind.

The kitchen island was huge! We enjoyed many snacks around it.

As Carl was walking on the beach one morning, he happened to run into our cousin Carly and her two kids, Sophia and Baby Liam. How fun to find more family around! They were staying in their beach house just a couple blocks away. They joined us for dinner on Saturday night and the three cousins had a blast playing together.

Bathtime!

We found a place were during low tide there are some tide pools to explore. We didn't make it during the lowest part of the tide, but we still were able to see many snails and other little critters.

Poor Saraya was a little cold. I should have taken a picture of Isaac at this point - he was waist-high in the water. I don't know how he did it!

Isaac and Saraya were then lucky enough to get to spend 3 more days at the beach with Grandma and Grandpa. They traveled north to Seaside, OR and enjoyed more beach, some hotel pool time, and even some history lessons.
Here they are at Fort Clapsop learning about Lewis and Clark.
