First Day of School

As luck would have it, my camera was not working the first day of school. My neighbor took some good first day pics but I haven't got those from her yet. These pictures are from my phone and show a little bit of the excitement.
Saraya's first day back to her daycare was Monday. I will post those pictures as soon as I can figure out how to get my camera working again.
Isaac's first day was Thursday. Scott took the day off and my new half-time schedule allowed me to take him to school also. It was a lot of fun. We walked to our friends' house and all of us walked together. Saraya was upset that she didn't get to wear a backpack.

He was nervous and pretty quiet, but he looked cool and calm in his new outfit.

Here they are the next day doing the same routine. This time Saraya had a backpack too.
He has been pretty quiet about his two days. He seems to enjoy it, though. We were disappointed to hear about his first assessment - His teacher asked him to count as high as he could and he told us he stopped at 16 because he "was tired." He can easily count to 100 so we were upset that he pooped out so early. Hopefully his teacher will learn quickly how smart he really is and he will try harder to show her.

This long weekend was nice. Carl and Michelle came for a visit and we had a lot of fun. Michelle was a bad influence on me and my credit card, but now my back room is completely decorated and furnished. It looks great! Piece of free advice: working to hang drapes and rods AND drinking margaritas at the same time only makes more work for yourself later. Finally by Monday night the work was done.
