Random Updates

It has been almost a month since the last post. We have been busy and I have taken very few pictures. In April and May I took on a consulting job on my Thursdays and Fridays off. It was a great experience and fun to be at an elementary school observing and learning from the kids and teachers. I enjoyed being called Mrs. Briggs again! We had a fabulous babysitter who came to our house on those days and it worked out so well. However, having my days off again is so nice - looking forward to being half-time again next year!

I found some old pictures that I haven't posted yet and these go way back!! These are in random order.

We took the kids to see Sesame Street Live at the Tacoma Dome. Fun stuff!

On Easter weekend we had amazing weather (well, Saturday anyway). It was probably only mid- 60's but the sun was out and we literally had not seen it in weeks. The kids were so excited they put on their swim suits. We dyed Easter eggs in the driveway outside - soaking up the sun.
On Easter it poured. We did get up and go to the "Sunrise" Service which was pretty funny - a small group of us huddled under a tent. Still a special time and even more so when Scott asked if the kids knew what Easter was about. Isaac replied by telling Scott the whole story of Jesus dying on the cross and us celebrating him coming back to life. Scott asked him where he heard the story and Isaac said, "Mom told me." Ah, he does listen to me!
Even before Easter was the Daffodil parade. Who was more excited about the parade - the kids or me? Probably a tie. I enjoy parades and this one was a good one on a decent day. No rain - that is about as good as you can hope for around here.


Even before the parade we had spring break. We did nothing exciting for the week and it poured the whole time. My friend and I decided we had to get out of town and we booked our families into the Embassy Suites in Bellevue. We ate a nice dinner, played in the pool, the kids watched a movie and we adults socialized. It was a good couple days away.

The next day on the car ride home - can you say exhausted?
Saraya had a little school project with a monkey named Max. We were supposed to have Max for a week and document all the fun we had. The teachers put it all together into a book for the kids to look at. She and Isaac enjoyed Max.
