Grammy Karen came out to visit us during Isaac's spring break. We were able to get away for a long weekend to Long Beach. We took the scenic route which included a ferry ride.
We were the only passengers on the ride across. It was a small, strange ferry, but transported us safely across the Columbia River. $5 well spent.

What was interesting to think about was that last spring break we were also at Long Beach, only in CA. A little different experience.... The kids enjoyed walking to the beach, but we didn't spend too much time gazing at the crashing waves. It was chilly!!
We visited a light house on top of a cliff. Stormy day but we enjoyed a dry moment for the short hike. Here is Grammy and the kids.
The Lewis and Clark history was interesting for the kids. We enjoyed walking pieces of the Discovery Trail and learning about the explorers.
Before Grammy left, Saraya and I took her to the Seattle Aquarium. It was a fun visit.
