First Day of School

(This is for you Aunt Pat:)

Sept. 4, 2013 - the day both kids started school.  What a fun day!!
We started the morning with pictures on the front step.  Both kids had picked out their outfits days before.  Both in new shoes - yes, our kids have big feet!
Our Third Grader.  He was ready for school.  He was ready to see his friends and after meeting his teacher the night before he felt comfortable going to the class.  He is a good student, never complains or whines about school.
Saraya was beyond excited!  She kept telling me she was a little nervous too.  She knew that she had a couple kids she knew in her class so that made it easier for her.

We walked to school and took the traditional pictures in front of the Brouillet sign.
Third Grade!
 Kindergarten!
Then after waving Isaac off, Saraya and I headed home.  She was so disappointed she was in afternoon kindergarten and kept asking when we would be able to go to school.
Finally, at 11:00 we headed to her new babysitter's house.  She has two other friends at this daycare who will also be in afternoon kindergarten.  We met everyone there and took some pictures and then walked a block to the bus stop.
The bus driver was a friendly lady who let us take pictures before the kiddos got on the bus.
 There she goes!  Big kindergartener!
The other parents were going to follow the bus to the school and then take their kids to the classroom.  But, not me!  I practically ran home to enjoy my 3 hours of alone/cleaning time.  I knew she was excited, I was excited and time was a ticken.  I didn't get teary or sentimental.  She was way beyond ready for this day - smart little girl!!!
We celebrated the day with frozen yogurt.  Thanks Grandma!
We headed out tonight to watch Isaac and Scott's soccer team scrimmage another team.  It was a great game - our boy played hard!!!  He took a ball to the gut, a cleat to the back and still managed to score two goals and had several saves as goalie.  We are proud of our kids, they are great in so many ways!!
