Where did December go? Where did 2013 go??
Here is a quick update....
We celebrated the kids' great report cards. They are both excellent students who work hard and are very conscientious. We are proud of their efforts.
Who doesn't love frozen yogurt on a cold, rainy day?
The kids participated in the Rogers High School Reindeer Run for the second year in a row. Saraya did the 1K with a friend and Isaac did the 5K all by himself. They did take the opportunity to see Santa and tell him their wishes!

In the end, Isaac did fantastic! He was second in his age group which was 14 and under. He did the 3.1 race in 22:18:25! We were super proud of our little runner and his little legs!
Grandma and Grandpa Chasse came over to celebrate Christmas with us. It was a nice time, even though Saraya got a little sick Christmas morning. She bounced right back after a little nap and we had a nice day.
Didn't take too many pics, but here is one of them with their Christmas pjs - Thanks Kara!

And out of order, here is a pic of Grandpa Jim reading the paper on Christmas eve, a beautiful sunny day which reminded us of being in PHX last year!

The kids received almost everything they wanted for Christmas. Isaac got an Ipod, Seahawks jersey, Dick's gift cards, and the expensive Nike socks he loves. Saraya received barbies, doll clothes, and books. She asked Santa for an American girl doll. Santa thought $100 was a lot for a doll for a 6 year-old and thought the dolls from Target looked pretty similar and would probably pass for one. I was surprised a couple days ago when Saraya asked me if Santa couldn't afford to get her a real American Girl doll. I told her Santa probably wanted to make sure she could take care of this one first. The downside of having bright kids!
Saraya, Grandma and I went to see the Nutcracker in Seattle the day after Christmas. It was very nice and a special time!
This is the winter train set up in the Seattle Center.

The kids, Kara and I were able to meet up with the Simlers in Leavenworth where we enjoyed beautiful weather, games and just fun times with friends.
Lake Wenatchee pictures.

On New Year's Day, our family of four went up to the UW campus and walked around. It was a nice way to spend a sunny morning. We enjoyed seeing the sights!

Can't wait to see a game in the new stadium!

Had to stop by Gasworks Park, the kids ran up and down the hill a few times. Great way to get energy out....

On January 3rd we traveled down to Portland for a quick visit with Cousin Maya. It was a fun time. For the first time ever we visited Voodoo Doughnuts. Wow, that is a dangerous stop!!

Box of goodness....

We are looking forward to our upcoming year and plan that we will have many more fun adventures!

Glad you had a merry Christmas! I hear you about the American girl doll. I broke down and got Brooke one this year but it was hard spending that much on a doll. The only thing that sold me was that they hold up really well and last forever!:)
