Christmas

This Christmas was a special Christmas for several reasons. First, it was the first Christmas since his senior year in high school where Scott got to wake up in his own house on Christmas morning. For me, it was the first Christmas morning I did not wake up in my childhood bedroom in Kennewick. This was the first Christmas that Isaac really understood the Santa concept and it was fun seeing him so excited. Grandma and Grandpa Chasse came over and it was nice being able to host (even though my mom still did most of the cooking!). We had a great day.

Isaac woke up at 7:30am and immediately asked, "Where's Santa?" Scott, Isaac and I went downstairs to see if Santa had visited us. Isaac was so excited to see that Santa had brought him just what he wanted - the Scooby Doo gang. He proceeded to play with those figures all morning and wasn't interested in opening another gift for a long time. In fact the whole process of opening gifts took us 12 hours - our last gift was opened at 7:30pm. Isaac had fun with each gift and wasn't too worried about getting to them all. We also took eating breaks, naps and just relaxed. It was a fun day.
Here he is showing off Scooby and the guys.

Saraya had fun with some things, but still gets excited over wrapping paper and ribbons.

New riding toy. She has been having fun rolling around the house.

Sadly, Scott's stepfather and grandfather both ended up in the hospital over Christmas. Please send a prayer for both of these men and the family who are with them.
