Snow Days

Well, tomorrow will be our third snow day. That will lead me right into winter break. There goes my February mid-winter break, but this has been nice. Scott has been home the whole time re-couping from his hernia surgery so we have had some nice family time. Finally a minute to update on some pictures.

Last weekend we were able to get our tree and decorate it. All the ornaments are about 1.5 feet off the ground and right in the front, but that is okay. Isaac had fun and he did a good job.

Saraya enjoyed watching.

On Sunday, Scott and Isaac were in the church play. The week before Isaac was supposed to be in the children's play, but I guess he got cold feet because he would not go through with it. Needless to say, we were a little nervous about what would happen at the adult play. Isaac played Toddler Jesus and he did great! Here he is sitting between Mary and Joseph pretending to play with some blocks as the Wise Men brought him some gifts. Scott was one of the wise men and he did it very well.

We have been enjoying the snow. Isaac was excited to build a snowman.

Finally, today, Isaac had a Christmas program at his preschool. Scott and I were both glad for the chance to be there to see him perform. The kids sang songs and recited a couple of Christmas poems. It was fun to watch.

Here are Brooke and Isaac - he is so happy to have his friend Brooke at the preschool.

Last time I was the helper, Mrs. Spencer said he is doing better about branching out and playing with other friends. We are really encouraging more interactions with boys! Last week he made us call him Brittany (after a girl at church). When I was telling my friend this (mom of two boys). She gave us some manly movies to borrow called Rescue Heroes. They are all about tough guys - firefighters, policemen, etc who save the day. The first one Isaac watched, he said, I want to be her and pointed to a girl. Oh well, we tried!
