Mt. St. Helens

Over Memorial Day weekend, we did a day trip with our friends the Simler's to Mt. St. Helens.  It was the first time Scott and the kids had been there.  I know I had gone years ago, but didn't remember much.  I do remember the sky in Kennewick turning black on May 18, 1980.  It was a partly cloudy day so we didn't get a good look at the crater, but you can see the a partial view in the distance.  

 We will go back another day and do the whole visitor center.  Today was just about looking and running around.

 We found a nice hike to do which took us through some interesting sites.

 As always, the kids were troopers and did great!!

 Stopped at a Big Foot "museum" on the way home.
