Hard to believe that June is almost over!
Quick recap of some of our events:
Sound to Narrows. The kids did the 2K run. Isaac ran the whole things by herself, Saraya ran the race with our friend Madison. We saw our friend Karis who did the 5K. All of the kids did great!
Father's Day. We spend the afternoon at a park. We would have liked to rent a canoe and go for a paddle, but the wind made the water pretty choppy. We enjoyed walking around and exploring the area though. The kids were very excited to give Scott his father's day present - Cable TV. He is a great dad and deserves to be able to watch Mariner games and fall football. (I think we will actually save money by keeping him home from the Ram - we will see.)
Scott teaching Isaac how to skip rocks. Getting closer. Scott has a lot of patience when working with the kids. It is fun to see.
Baseball season. Can you believe I only took 1 picture this whole season? And it was one of the cake at the end of season party. Real Smart. We had a parent who took over 700 pictures during the season and he gave all the kids a CD with pictures so I do have those. It was a great season. Lots of rain-outs in the beginning which was frustrating, but the kids played really well. Scott was proud of his team and as always, the parents were very appreciative of his coaching style and way with the kids. The team took first in the division and only lost 1 game the whole season. Isaac loved it!
Rainier's Game. Scott's work had a night at the Rainier's. Luckily we got in two dry hours before the rain started. Didn't make it to fireworks and the kids were really disappointed. Maybe another time. It was a fun evening.
Pony Party. Saraya's friend turned 4 and invited the preschool to the equestrian center where she takes riding lessons. She did a demonstration through an obstacle course which was pretty cute to see.
Then it was the other kids turns. Saraya rode Taffy and Tucker. This is Taffy.
Also some chickens to see.
Of course there was also the end of school. My friend and I picked up the kids and took them out to lunch to celebrate the start of summer. Isaac and I went on a field trip with Saraya's class to Baskin Robbins. And I had a birthday on a rare beautiful sunny day. It has been a good month!
